Day 660 - 25th February 2015
Coalpit Heath to Sutton Benger
I had expected rain this morning, my legs were bad overnight and I was told it was forecast, instead we now have sunshine...
This morning didn't get off to a very good start, I called in B&Q for a new bungee cord for the trailer and as Morrisons was across the road I decided to call in and treat the cats to a bit of ham and me to my breakfast, I ordered a tea cake and a mug of tea. Whilst waiting i counted and logged the cash donations then drank my tea, still waiting, it was not busy 8-10 people some already eating after more than twenty minutes I got up and walked out with my 'order number card' and spoke to the duty manager, this is probably the worst cafe I've been in on the whole of my travels!
I headed off passing MacDonald's, I decided to get something there, mistake number two, I was given something completely different to what I ordered! I was ignored when trying to get some attention from staff that were to busy talking, I ended up shouting excuse me! I was eventually given what I ordered!
Damn I was glad to get out of there! The journey improved once I got back into the countryside, Yellowhammers and Chaffinches singing amongst many other birds, Yellowhammers are amongst one of my favourite birds...
I'll be in Sutton Benger for two nights before heading for the bright lights of Calne.
