Apologies for the lack of an update recently, I've been trying to get a video online to accompany this update, its taken me three days so far!
Well Saturday night was brilliant, an evening of music organised by Ray 'Stan' Churchill in the Exbourne Village Hall. I was also spoilt at the weekend to breakfast at The Burrow with Ray and Tony Madge (a SSAFA case worker), a damn good breakfast it was too.
Sunday was to be a relatively easy day with a spin over already covered ground to Umberleigh. A stop at the Camping and Caravan Club site was much needed so I could get some washing done. Smudge and Missy were in there element, a big hedge to hunt in! Missy soon had a shrew and played with it for the next few hours...
I popped down to the local pub for a bite to eat but was surprised to find they were not doing any for the next few days, really stuffed me up as there was no where else around! In the end they made me a couple of cheese sandwiches to take away, thank you ladies.
Monday was an even easier day, eight miles to Barnstaple Taw View Tesco, arriving early I was 'booked in' and soon collecting in the lobby, it was a quiet day so by five o'clock I was packed and of to sort and bag the money.
Last night was a noisy night at Tesco and I'm feeling tired before I start! It will be a late start this morning as I'm being accompanied to Braunton by a young lady on another Tramper, the Council have messaged me to say all the gates are unlocked and ready, looking forward to the run on a glorious morning.
