14th June 2016
Good afternoon everyone,
An early update today as I'm expecting a visit from a man with a bit to repair my huddle tonight :)
I wasn't expecting to get out today, I headed out first thing this morning and soon turned round as it was getting wetter the closer I got to Brockenhurst! I sat around with the cats killing time and son the sun put in an appearance so I headed out again. I first of all headed along the roads not knowing how bad the cycle track access would be. Other than a camper van parked so I couldn't see the cycle sign it was fine, and saved a lot of grief on the roads where 40mph appears to be minimum speed you are allowed to do!
Whilst in Brockenhurst I went to the local church where there is a dedicated Commonwealth War Graves Commission area, beautifully looked after as always, I wandered around the rest of the overgrown churchyard trying to spot other service graves and a VC grave, I wandered carefully off the path in the area where the VC, wading into the jungle I wasn't careful enough, I couldn't see where I'm putting my feet and slipped off the edge of a grave edging hurting both knees
The trip back was a bit better as I stayed on the cycle track almost to Burley. Tomorrow weather permitting I want to do the Milford-on-Sea/Lymington area.
