1st April 2017

Good evening everyone,

Well its been a very busy week with people trying to run me off the road, hospital, doctors and mental health appointments. I'll start with the latter, I have been diagnosed with Post Truamatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), I did meet a lady in Scotland when I was doing the coast that suspected I did, if I remember correctly she worked in mental health. Not sure what happens from here...

Last week it was as if somewhere a swith was flicked and some drivers went into stupid mode, three times in two daysI had vans pass me with less than 1.5ft, one within 6-8in, I am not happy with that as it puts my life at risk, I am just a vunerable as a cyclist, I will point out that I have amber flashing lights and high visibility clothing so no excuse for not seeing me. All three incidents as I had them on camera where passed to the Police, the camera is mounted front central of the scooter so its hard to appreciate ho close they come.

The first case on Tuesday is being treated as Driving without Due Care and Attention. Whilst travelling to Porthcawl I had a call from South Wales Police, I had the initial thought it was an April fool, they told me the two incidents on Thursday were just a case of being passed very close, for those of you who use Twitter search for #opclosepass. There was one other bit to the second incident the driver threatened me verbally and physically. I pointed out the first incident is being treated as an offence, they are reveiwing the second two again...

Well I can honestly say that it is nice to be back on the road, yesterday's run to Porthcawl was pleasant, the weather was nice, the route was almost half off road and reasonably flat. Last night turned wet, very wet! I had a message from my old driver David Flannigan at just before 0530hrs, he was worried about me and Missy, We were fine :)

Today was a nicer day than forecast I did manage to get in a couple of churches, most I couldn't even when phoning the number on the boards. I will head out in the morning...
