21st December 2016

Good evening everyone,

Its been a busy few days trying to find memorials in Swansea and Gorseinon, I've found thirty six known memorials and thirty six new/unrecorded memorials. I've also found some interesting history, Swansea due to its size was the heaviest bombed in World War Two, I visited the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church which was hit by a bomb, it went through the roof but failed to explode, it ended up being the only building left standing in the city centre.

Another find was Churchill and Eisenhower, St Mary's Church was destroyed in World War Two, when it was rebuilt the obviously had to build, carve everything from scratch, on one of the Choristers stalls you will find both of them...

I moved to Pontarddulais today, only down the road from my sisters but a bit of a hard area to cover, there are two Anglican churches and eight chapels, a lot of phoning around trying to get access to churches and check them, I have found three new memorials.

A bit of trouble this afternoon, a lady came in to Tesco with a dog off the lead, it was well behaved until it saw Missy and flew at her, I got in the way and hit the dog with the flat of my hand, it went back to its owner who still refused to put it on its lead! I turned around and it launched at her again! this time I used my leg and hands, it managed to get hold of her fur, Smudge flew out and attacked the dog as well! The dog again returned to the owner and I hurled abuse about getting the dog on a lead as did another lady. Missy was ok, a bit of loose fur and she wanted to get back at the dog!

Tomorrow I have to get in a couple more chapels...
