War Graves and Memorials

30th October 2016

Good afternoon everyone,

I've had a day off today, a lie in this morning and I feel tired still! I met up with Peter Finn in Wells this morning for a cuppa and thats pretty much the highlight of my day.

Yesterday was a whole different ball game! It was only a short hop from Shepton Mallet to Wells, I called in at Dinder church for a second time to try and find a grave that eluded me last year, it still has. Then on to Tesco, I knew exactly where I had to go for a plug, what I hadn't expected was the plug to be smashed and broken... timme to worry, threr were no other plugs, look at the map, any Greene King near, nope. I searched online for campsites and there was Wells Touring Park at Haybridge, rocked up and asked to book in for two nights - no charge, so a big thank you to them for saving the day :)

When I came through last year I tried getting into the Cathederal to photograph the military memorials, they wanted £8 I think it was, with this in mind I was given £10 by a gentleman near Kingweston a few weeks ago to get me in to do my bit of work, well I'm pleased to say I had to put the £10 in the collection bucket last night, a totally different attitude when I went in yesterday afternoon, free entry and the volunteers helped me find some of the memorials, another thank you.

Tomorrow I head for Burnham-on-Sea for a couple of nights then it will be Weston-Super-Mare all being well.

And for the Hot Fuzz fans

I didn't get brain freeze whilst sitting here
