Day 605 2nd December 2014

Good evening everyone,

A sort update tonight as it was a fairly uneventful if fast trip to South Wales from Morecombe, why does Morecombe look wrong?

The driver that was to pick me up was from Romania, not living here as I think you might assume but delivering goods to Preston, then collecting us and then taking us to Llanelli. There was some initial confusion as I don;t speak Romanian and Riems (I hope I've spelt that correctly!) speaks very little English! We finally got the message through and loaded everything. I was worried about the driving before we set off, bere in mind I travel at 8mph virtually the whole time and it had been 606 days since I did a long journey at more than 8mph, I shouldn't have worried, over than the terrible roads in places it was a smooth gentle ride, even Missy didn't throw up (she does suffer from travel sickness if its at all wobbly).

We arrived at INA Bearing or Scheaffler mid afternoon and I was met my a mate Mike who has taken the none essentials from the trailer in his car and will drop them at the flat tomorrow. I, in the meantime headed to my mother new bungalow, passed it in a previous life but never been in it until this afternoon. I had a cuppa and collected a bit of mail and my keys and headed for the temporary home...

A bit of a result today from the CAB about the India Palm Restaurant in Dumfries;

'Criminal offence:

The trader’s actions could be considered to be a breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

What we’ll do:

We will inform Trading Standards of the trader’s activities in this situation for their information.  The case details will also be placed on a central data base that can be accessed by all the other Trading Standards throughout the UK.'

I had to go through CAB instead of Trading Standards, if they let me know I'll let you know...
